Celebration is a short one-act play, set in a high-end restaurant. Over the course of the evening, three couples - one of whom is celebrating their anniversary - demonstrate that there's a thin line between love and hate. The play is dripping in the comedy of menace, of which Pinter is a masterchef. The language is cordon bleu and the result is a delicious, funny, sinister theatrical feast.
