Your VisiT

Plan your visit to us by checking out the information below

Putney Arts Theatre is just a 3 minute walk from Putney Main Line Station, and has it's very own bus stop!  On top of that we're close by to the A3 out of London, and have East Putney Tube station around a 10 minute walk away.

We're wheelchair accessible, and are open for all to join us and enjoy our amazing theatre.  Find out more about your visit below.

Getting Here - Public Transport

Putney Arts Theatre is in the Old Union Church building and is on the corner of Ravenna Road, and Upper Richmond Road.

By Rail

Putney Station is on the mainline route from London with trains running around every 10 minutes. From the station cross the road and continue walking along Upper Richmond Road (past the Post Office).

By Tube

East Putney Tube is on the District Line.  Come out of the station and turn left, and continue walking along Upper Richmond Road, crossing the main junction and continuing towards Barnes.

By Bus

We have our own bus stop, which is on the 337 or 430 bus routes.  Although if you can cope with a 3 minute walk, then we are also served by the 93, 270 and a number of other bus routes around the Putney area.

Getting Here - By Car

We ask audience members not to use our car park during performances, as these spaces are reserved for performers and volunteers.
Paid parking is available throughout Putney, although do watch out for the time limits of less than two hours.

There are some four hour spaces available on St John's Avenue, Gwendollen Road, and along Howards Lane.  The Putney Exchange Car Park, a 10 minute walk away, is always available.

These are marked in purple on the map.

Accessibility

Wheelchair Accessible Icon

All our spaces are wheelchair accessible

Our main stage theatre can accommodate up to 10 wheelchair users, and our studio space can accommodate up to 3.   We have a unisex accessible toilet, with baby changing facilities, and a ramp leading up to our theatre space.

Let Us Know How We Can Help

We ask all mobility restricted audience members to notify us of this prior to them arriving at the performance.  This will allow us to ensure that we have reserved spaces for them.  We regret that we are not able to guarantee seats that do not require members to climb some steps, unless we are notified in advance.

Hearing Loop in Main Theatre

We have a hearing loop installed in our main theatre space, and are working hard to have a loop installed into our studio space too.

Please do let us know if you intend to make use of the hearing loop, as we will then check that it is working correctly.

Guide & Hearing Dogs

We welcome any guests with guide, therapy or hearing dogs into all of our spaces.  If you require a guide, therapy or hearing dog to accompany you into a performance, then, if possible, please notify our box office in advance so we can ensure space is provided for them.

Photography on this website is provided by numerous members over the years. In particular we would like to thank: Ben Copping, Martin Jessop, Rich Evans and Steve Lippett who have contributed so much to capturing our productions in such amazing quality.
