Lerner & Loewe’s much-loved, multi award-winning musical brought to our Putney stage!

A chance meeting between two noted British linguists, Professor Henry Higgins and Colonel Hugh Pickering, leads to a wager that will test Higgins' skills. After they hear a cockney flower girl in the street, Higgins makes a bet with Pickering that he can transform the girl, Eliza Doolittle into a refined lady that could convince anyone that she was a 'proper lady'. After some hesitation, Eliza agrees to become their test case, and as we see the relationships between the trio develop and grow, the question becomes 'who is really being transformed?'  Boasting a score including the classic songs I Could Have Danced All Night, Get Me to the Church on Time, Wouldn’t It Be Loverly, On the Street Where You Live, The Rain in Spain, and I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face.

This is an amateur production. You do not need to be a member of PTC to audition, but actors and crew will need to become members for £30 a year by direct debit. A £25 show fee will also need to be paid by all actors in the production. We encourage you to become a member of PTC anyway, even if not cast.

Our company is run by volunteers and we expect all actors cast in a play to volunteer for Front of House duties at least once a year. Our shows could not go up without our Front of House volunteers.

Photography on this website is provided by numerous members over the years. In particular we would like to thank: Ben Copping, Martin Jessop, Rich Evans and Steve Lippett who have contributed so much to capturing our productions in such amazing quality.
