  In a dirt-dry Australian town, a gunshot shatters the still night. A mother and her daughters have just welcomed home the man of the house — with a crack to the shins and a bullet to the neck. With a body to dispose of and neighbours asking awkward questions, their story unfolds with raw, rude, and brutally funny intensity.

  The Bleeding Tree is an Australian Gothic murder ballad. It's the story of three fierce women fighting back. Described as “dangerous, deep, and devastatingly beautiful,” it’s a razor-sharp thriller and a hauntingly tense, visceral exploration of revenge, complicity, and survival.

  With its dark humour, poetic beauty, and searing wit, it is theatre at its boldest and most unforgettable.

  WAF@PAT will feature seven plays (six for adult audiences and two for children), together with workshops, new writing, cabaret, music and other activities.   You were out here. Before. But I waited. I waited until it was dark.

  Rebecca and Paul are running away to try to save their relationship. A remote mountain lodge is the perfect place to work things out. The set themselves boundaries, but their half-honourable attempts don't last long. The situation is further complicated by the appearance of Paul's former lover, Helen, who seems to have a mysterious agenda of her own. You can't run forever, especially when you're being followed. Brad Birch's tense psychological thriller about infidelity, betrayal and revenge will leave your heart pounding.

  Kirsty and Gideon bump into each other in a derelict community centre. Through sharing their hopes, fears, and past experiences, they come to terms with their broken families. The pair's stories help them to discover they have a lot more in common than they initially thought. Poetic and tender, Philip Ridley's play observes the grown up attitude beneath the minds of the teenagers.

  Yesterday seems far away. And long ago is like today.

  Joe has a new baby sister and nobody wants to play with him. Uncle Harry has no one to play with either and he needs help in the garden. As the seasons change they find a common bond as they tend the plants and come to terms with the challenges of childhood and of aging.   In a north London council flat, Della, a recovering addict, barely has time to catch her breath before she is face-to-face with Nola, the daughter she was forced to give up. But the young woman with the pram sipping tea in her living room may not be all she seems. Nana Nola, Della’s mother, has a memory that is starting to play tricks on her, but she is still sharp enough to sense when something isn’t right. As time bends and the weight of the past presses in, three generations of women must navigate old wounds, unspoken truths, and the aching need for redemption.   Ex-squaddie Ray - mentally scarred from his time in Afghanistan - returns home to Doncaster to attempt to see his kids and reconcile with his ex-wife, Carla - mentally scarred from her marriage to Ray.   Falling in, falling out, falling apart. How to handle friendships the grown-up way.

  London. Four pairs of friends. Adam and Lucas’s new friendship is tested when they discover they have very different values. Kirsty’s concern for her friend, Kate, becomes overbearing and just a bit strange. Sophie helps her old friend, Tanya, and soon realises that Tanya will say anything to get what she wants. Philip develops a powerful crush on his colleague, Jon, and puts their friendship in jeopardy. There starts with one friendship’s birth and finishes with the death of another; in between, the play explores obsession, race, political correctness, substance abuse, truth, lies, loyalty, treachery and forgiveness.
